Where does it give this definition? IT DOES NOT!
This "cocktail" reference in speaking obviously about the type of racing horse. Which is exactly where the word cocktail derives, from the term for a half breed racing horse. The most famous being that of "fashion" which was the southern famous offspring of two other famous racing mares. This is how the good ol' fashioned came about.
